Bertrand Grospellier aka ElkY is one of the most successful non-Korean players in Brood War’s history—arguably second only to Grrrr…—and he is a true trailblazer, traveling to Korea to pursue his dream before progaming was even considered a rational pursuit. After several successful years as a StarCraft pro and a stint in South Korea, ElkY was introduced to PokerStars, the online poker room.
This appealed to his competitive streak and interest in strategy and he has since become a renowned professional poker player and was a member of Team PokerStars Pro. It was with the WSOP 2011 that ElkY forged his place forever, among the small elite of premier poker players. These poker players have achieved the Poker’s Triple Crown. To achieve this, a player must win an EPT, a WPT and a WSOP bracelet. His total live tournament winnings exceed $10,800,000.
